What is Hilo Wave?

HILO WAVE® is a safe biostimulator combining high-molecular and low-molecular hyaluronic acid. It triggers remodeling across all skin layers including the dermis, improving skin quality with rejuvenation and natural volume.

Hilo Wave vs Rejuran and Juvelook

Hilo Wave, Rejuran and Juvelook are all injectable skin treatments, but each one works in a different way. Hilo Wave combines high- and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid to improve moisture, elasticity and skin density together. Rejuran HB+ pairs polynucleotides (PN) with hyaluronic acid to support skin-cell regeneration and the skin barrier. Juvelook combines hyaluronic acid with PDLLA and is used mainly for fine wrinkles and elasticity.

Dr. Kim chooses between them after a skin analysis, based on whether dryness, thin and sensitive skin, or fine lines are your main concern. If a previous juvelook skin booster left a lump, VOS can assess that too.

How long Hilo Wave lasts and how many sessions you need

Hilo Wave results typically last 3 to 4 months. Dryness and glow improve from the next day, and elasticity builds from about one week.

If you plan repeat sessions, the clinic lists a 6 mL option that works out to ₩540,000 per treatment. Results vary by person.

Hilo Wave for under-eye lines

Hilo Wave is often chosen by people who want to improve under-eye wrinkles safely and naturally, and by those who worry about needle marks, swelling or embossing. Depending on the area, the technique and the amount used, a specific effect can be drawn out more clearly, so the plan for the under-eye area is set at consultation.

Planning Hilo Wave on a trip to Seoul

Hilo Wave needs no separate injector or sleep anesthesia, and downtime is minimal. Even so, book it about five days or more before your flight, so small bumps, redness or a bruise from the injections have time to settle.
