Korea Rejuran HB Consultation Booking Appointment: Who Fits?

Planning a Korea Rejuran HB consultation booking appointment? Who HB suits, what decides the cost and what to send first, from VOS Dermatology, Gangnam.

VOS Dermatology Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul

Trying to set up a Korea Rejuran HB consultation booking appointment for yourself or a parent, and worried the consultation and the injection won't fit into the days you have?

Read this before you lock in your dates.

By the end you'll know what Rejuran HB is and who it suits, what decides the cost, which review claims hold up, and what to have ready when you book. That should make it easier to judge whether it fits your skin and your budget.

Hello, I'm Dr. Hongseok Kim, a board-certified dermatologist with 21 years of experience and the Medical Director of VOS Dermatology Clinic in Gangnam.

I do every consultation and every procedure myself, so the person who reads your skin is the person doing the injections. The price list is the same for every nationality. If needles make you tense, nitrous-oxide sedation is available here, and the clinic has used it in more than 5,700 cases.

I'm writing this because many people book Rejuran HB as if it were a fixed menu item. In my view the right Rejuran type, and the amount, should come out of looking at the skin first.

Rejuran HB is a polynucleotide (PN) injection combined with hyaluronic acid and lidocaine, aimed at hydration and skin recovery with a more comfortable injection. It suits dry, tired-looking skin and fine crepiness more than sagging or lost volume.

The easiest first step is one front-facing photo taken in daylight, sent on WhatsApp with a single question: is HB the right Rejuran for this skin, or would another type suit it better?

I'm Dr. Hongseok Kim. I see every patient myself — the consultation, the diagnosis and the treatment.

What is Rejuran HB, and how is it different from Healer and Eye?

All three Rejuran types on my price list are built on polynucleotides, which are DNA fragments purified so they can be injected. Polynucleotides are generally described as supporting the skin's own repair processes and helping the dermis hold water. What separates the three types is what is added to the PN and which area each one is meant for.

TypeWhat the price list says it containsWhat it is intended for
Rejuran HBPN + hyaluronic acid + lidocaineHydration and skin recovery, with a more comfortable treatment
Rejuran HealerPNSensitive skin, redness, a compromised skin barrier
Rejuran EyePNThe under-eye area: fine lines, elasticity, skin quality

The hyaluronic acid in HB adds a moisture-binding component. The lidocaine is a local anesthetic mixed into the product so the injections sting less. Neither one makes HB a filler. It goes in as small amounts spread across the skin, not as a single deposit meant to lift a cheek or fill a fold.

Who is Rejuran HB a good fit for?

HB tends to make sense when the complaint is skin quality: dryness that moisturizer doesn't fix, a dull or crepey texture on the cheeks, fine lines, or skin that feels slow to recover after sun or travel. It's also worth considering if you've put off boosters because the needles bothered you, since the lidocaine is there for that reason.

It's a weaker match when the main worry is a jawline that has dropped or hollows that have deepened. Polynucleotides work on the quality of the skin. They don't reposition tissue or replace lost volume. In that situation I'd rather talk about a lifting device or a collagen stimulator than sell you a syringe that can't do the job you have in mind.

Say you're 58, with fine, dry cheek skin and some early softness along the jaw, and you have five days in Seoul. I'd look at HB for the texture on the cheeks and keep the jaw as a separate question, possibly for another visit. If the jaw is what bothers you most when you look in the mirror, HB on its own would likely leave you disappointed, and I'd tell you that at the consultation rather than after the injections.

Korea Rejuran HB consultation booking appointment: what to have ready

Booking goes through WhatsApp. The clinic is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10:00–19:00, Friday 10:00–20:00 and Saturday 10:00–16:00, with lunch from 13:00 to 14:00 on weekdays. It is closed on Wednesdays, Sundays and Korean public holidays, so build your request around those days.

These are the things that make a first message useful:

  • A front-facing photo and one from the side, taken in daylight without makeup.
  • Your arrival and departure dates.
  • Any daily medication, especially blood thinners or isotretinoin, and any allergies, including to local anesthetics or fish.
  • Treatments on your face in the last few months: lasers, peels, fillers or other boosters.

If you're arranging this for a parent, send their photo and their medication list instead of describing them from memory. The details that matter for injections, like whether they bruise easily or take aspirin every day, are exactly the ones that get lost when information passes between family members.

How I approach a Rejuran HB consultation

Every skin is different, so the diagnosis has to come before the product. Every plan at VOS starts with a skin analysis, and I choose the Rejuran type, or a combination, for your face rather than handing over a package. Sometimes that means HB. Sometimes the redness and a reactive barrier point toward Healer, or the under-eye area needs Eye.

Then comes dosing. I hold to exact dosage and concentration for every injectable: never more, never less than the skin needs. With HB, that means the volume follows the area and the condition of the skin, not a round number on a menu. The products are genuine, and the injections use a 5μm filter syringe designed to block micro-particles such as ampoule glass fragments.

Worth knowing: HB is the Rejuran type with lidocaine already mixed in. If you've ever reacted to a local anesthetic at the dentist, say so before the appointment. Healer, which the price list shows as PN alone, may then be the more sensible choice.

The point of the consultation is to set realistic expectations. If what you're hoping for from HB is something it can't deliver, I'd rather you hear that before any needle comes out.

VOS signature treatments: skin boosters (Juvelook, Juvelook Volume, Juveacell, Hilo Wave, Gouri), hand-injected by the doctor, and lifting with original devices (Ultherapy Prime, Thermage FLX, Sofwave, Onda and Opus)
The two things I focus on: skin boosters I inject by hand, and lifting with original devices.

What decides the cost of Rejuran HB?

There's no single figure for Rejuran HB in Korea, because several things move it. The biggest is the amount: HB is listed by the millilitre, so the number of millilitres your face needs drives most of the cost. The second is the area. Cheeks alone take less product than cheeks, under-eyes and neck together, and the under-eye area may call for Rejuran Eye instead of HB.

Combinations are the third factor. If the plan pairs HB with a laser or another booster, each part is priced on its own line. Finally, listed prices exclude the 10% VAT, and the same prices apply whatever your nationality.

For a line-by-line look at the listed Rejuran options, see what counts in a Rejuran injection cost. If you're trying to read the whole menu, how to read a Seoul skin treatment price list walks through it, and the booster costs behind the glass-skin look covers how combinations add up. For your own face, send a photo on WhatsApp and ask what HB would cost for the areas you care about.

What do reviews get right and wrong about Rejuran HB?

“HB hurts less than Healer.” Broadly true. The lidocaine in HB takes the edge off the sting, though you will still feel the needle points. Areas around the mouth usually feel sharper than the cheeks.

“You'll have little bumps for a while.” True. Small raised marks at the injection points are expected with PN boosters and usually settle over hours to a few days. Plan around them instead of being caught off guard.

“It gives you glass skin overnight.” Not accurate. The studies gathered in a 2025 systematic review in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology describe gradual change in hydration and texture, usually after more than one session, so expect a build-up over weeks.

“It's made from salmon.” Partly true. The PN in these products is purified from fish DNA, and the purification is what makes it suitable for injection. If you have a fish allergy, raise it before booking.

Risks and side effects to know

The common reactions are temporary: redness, the small bumps described above, mild swelling, tenderness, and sometimes bruising at the injection points. Most settle within a few days. Bruising can take longer, especially if you take blood thinners.

As general medicine, these are reasons to wait or skip it: an active infection, cold sore or inflamed acne in the area; a laser or peel on the same skin very recently; isotretinoin; pregnancy or breastfeeding; and allergy to salmon-derived PN, fish or lidocaine. If you take anticoagulants or antiplatelets, don't stop them on your own. Ask the doctor who prescribed them. Whether HB suits you is confirmed when I examine your skin in person.

If something appears after you fly home, such as redness that spreads, warmth, pain that grows instead of fading, or pus, see a doctor locally and bring the record of what was injected. The US CDC's medical tourism guidance recommends taking copies of your medical records home and planning follow-up care before you travel.

If you take daily medication, add a photo of the label to your WhatsApp message and ask whether anything should change before your appointment.

How should you plan your days in Seoul around it?

The clinic is at 806 Eonju-ro in Gangnam, in front of Dosan Park. It's an 11-minute walk from Exit 3 of Gangnam-gu Office Station on Line 7, or 14 minutes from Exit 3 of Apgujeong Station on Line 3. Valet parking is available at the building if someone is driving you.

Because of the bumps, I'd keep the evening after the injections free of anything you'd want photographed. I'd also avoid putting the appointment on your last morning, so any question that comes up can be raised while you're still in Seoul. Wednesdays are closed, which leaves a gap in the middle of a Tuesday-to-Thursday plan. If your trip is short, Rejuran on a short trip and its limits goes into what fits in a few days.

Before you message us

Open WhatsApp at https://wa.me/821096974628 and send two things: daylight photos of your face, front and side, and your travel dates. Add the one question that matters most to you, for example whether HB or Healer fits your skin, or what it would cost for the cheeks and neck. When you come in, I examine your skin and recommend the Rejuran type and amount that fit it. Results vary from person to person.

FAQ

Questions readers ask about korea rejuran hb consultation booking appointment

Can the consultation and the Rejuran HB injection happen on the same visit?
Many people hope to do both on one day, and when the skin and health history raise no concern, that can be possible. Whether it works for you depends on what the consultation finds, including recent treatments and medication. When you message on WhatsApp, mention that you'd like both on the same visit and give your dates, so your request reflects that from the start.
Is Rejuran HB a type of filler?
No. HB contains hyaluronic acid, the same family of material used in many dermal fillers, but it is injected in small amounts across the skin to support hydration and recovery. It isn't designed to lift a cheek or fill a deep fold. If restoring volume is your goal, a filler or a collagen stimulator is a different conversation to have.
How many sessions of Rejuran HB do people usually need?
Polynucleotide boosters are usually given as a series rather than once, because changes in hydration and texture build gradually. The number of sessions and the spacing depend on your skin and on how often you can travel to Seoul. If you can only come once, ask what a single session can realistically do for your skin before you book anything.
Does the lidocaine in HB stop the injections from hurting?
It reduces the sting rather than removing all sensation. You will still feel the needle points, and areas around the mouth tend to feel sharper than the cheeks. If you're anxious about needles, nitrous-oxide sedation is available at the clinic, so mention it when you get in touch and ask whether it suits your appointment.
Can I book a consultation for my mother or father?
Yes, you can make the first contact on their behalf. Send their photo and their medication list on WhatsApp, and note any allergies or a tendency to bruise. On the day, your parent needs to be present for the examination and give their own consent before any treatment, so plan for them to attend in person.
