Thermage 600 Shots Cost Korea: Why 600? Results and Risks
Thermage 600 shots cost Korea: shot count, tip, area and add-ons set the figure. VOS Dermatology, Gangnam. Ask on WhatsApp with a photo for your own quote.

Have you got three Thermage 600 shots cost Korea quotes open and no idea whether they buy the same treatment?
Read this before you compare another figure.
You'll learn what a shot is, what decides the cost, which results and risks to expect, and how the method differs from Ultherapy, so you can judge whether 600 suits your face and your budget.
Hello, I'm Dr. Hongseok Kim, a board-certified dermatologist with 21 years of experience and Medical Director of VOS Dermatology in Gangnam. I perform every Thermage session here myself, and I wrote this because a shot count is so often read as a measure of results.
Three facts bear on your comparison.
The common mistake is lining up quotes by shot number and stopping there.
The cost of 600 shots is set by the tip, the area treated, anything added to the session, and whether VAT is included. Whether 600 is the right number is a separate question, and your face answers it.
A single daylight photo of your face is enough to start. Send it on WhatsApp and ask: is 600 the number you'd use on me?

What does '600 shots' buy you?
A shot is one placement of the treatment tip on your skin. The tip delivers radiofrequency energy into the deep dermis while cooling protects the surface, and Thermage FLX tunes the energy for each area with its AccuREP system. Reviews of monopolar radiofrequency describe that dermal heat as the trigger for collagen remodeling, which is where the tightening comes from.
So 600 is a count of placements. It says nothing about how those placements are divided between your jawline and your forehead, or how the energy is set. Two sessions with the same count can treat a face quite differently.
We list Thermage FLX at 600 shots for the face and Thermage FLX Eye at 450 shots for the eye area. Those are separate treatments with their own tips. If a quote you're reading says 600 and you also want your eyelids done, ask whether the eyes are included.
Genuine tips matter here for a reason beyond branding. Unauthorized tips are a recognized cause of side effects, so a shot count from an unverified tip tells you very little. Ask any clinic you're considering how you can confirm the tip is genuine.
What decides the cost for your face?
Here's what moves a Thermage 600 shots cost Korea figure. Listed figures are in my post on Thermage prices and what they include, so this section looks at the reasons behind them.
| Factor | Why it moves the figure | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Shot count and tip | More shots or a separate eye tip change the treatment | Which tip, and how many shots? |
| Area | Face, eyes and neck may be planned separately | Which areas does this cover? |
| Combination | A second device or an injectable adds its own cost | What's included, line by line? |
| Sedation | Nitrous oxide is an option for some people | Is it included if I want it? |
| VAT | Quotes may or may not include it | Is this figure before VAT? |
Your trip adds its own line. Hotel nights sit outside any clinic quote, though Thermage needs fewer of them than most procedures because there's no recovery time to wait out.
The same logic applies to any injectable or device. My post on what sets the figure for lip filler shows it with a treatment priced by the mL. For your own number, ask on WhatsApp what Thermage would cost for your case, attach a photo, and name the areas that bother you.

How I approach the shot count on your face
Every skin is different, and I don't treat 600 as a default. I start with a skin analysis and pick the device or combination for your face, and only then does a shot count mean anything.
The first thing I want to know is whether your concern is skin or support. Crepey skin and looser contours respond to dermal heat. Tissue that has dropped may need a different method, or more than one.
Say you're 44, with fine lines, a softening jawline and a lean face, and you're in Seoul for a week. I'd want to know why a higher count is on your list before adding shots, because a lean face gives me less reason to chase more heat. Now say you're 52 with heavy lower-face sagging. I'd tell you plainly that no shot count replaces the lift you're picturing, and I'd rather you heard that before paying than months afterward.
The same holds if you're in your twenties with firm skin. There's little laxity to correct, so I'd be slow to recommend any number of shots.
What results can you expect from Thermage FLX?
Many people feel tighter skin right away. The collagen-building phase then brings gradual change over 2–6 months, and results typically last around 1 to 1.5 years, with your skin and lifestyle moving that figure. You won't see the full outcome before you leave Seoul, so don't judge the session at the airport.
Thermage is built for firmness and fine lines, along with overall contour. It won't add volume, and it won't correct deep folds caused by lost fat. For a fuller explanation of the device, candidates and session, see my guide to Thermage FLX in Korea. This post stays on the number.

Ultherapy vs Thermage: which method suits your concern?
The two devices heat different things in different ways. Ultherapy delivers focused ultrasound at points, targeting depths of 1.5mm, 3.0mm and 4.5mm including the SMAS layer, with a live DeepSEE image of the tissue. Thermage heats the deep dermis evenly across a field.
In practice, Ultherapy is often the choice for support along the brow and jawline, and Thermage for overall firmness and crepey eye-area skin. Ultherapy's main drawback is that it can be more uncomfortable over bone, and it can occasionally cause temporary bruising, numbness or nerve irritation. Some faces benefit from both, and how a dermatologist layers anti-aging treatments explains that thinking.
This is why comparing shot counts between the two devices means little. A shot of ultrasound and a shot of radiofrequency aren't the same unit.
Risks and side effects to know
The common reactions are mild and short: redness or swelling that usually disappears within hours, and a brief sting or heat during treatment. Less commonly, people report temporary tenderness, numbness or small bumps. Rarely, burns, blisters or scarring can occur.
Threads titled 'Thermage ruined my face' usually make two claims. The first is that burns and dents can happen, and that's true, though uncommon. A 2006 retrospective analysis of over 600 treatments in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology reported that side effects were infrequent and mostly temporary, on an earlier device generation. The second claim, that Thermage melts facial fat in everyone, goes beyond the evidence I know of. People with very lean faces are still right to raise it before treatment, and I'd rather discuss it than dismiss it.
As general medical guidance, you should wait or skip the treatment if any of these apply:
- You're pregnant, or you have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device.
- You have an infection or inflammation in the area.
If you notice a blister, a burn, numbness that lasts or a new dent after you fly home, take photos and see a local dermatologist promptly. Bring your treatment details with you. The US CDC's guidance on medical tourism advises keeping copies of your records and planning follow-up care before you travel.
Worth knowing: A quote that names shots but not the tip or the areas can't be compared with anything. Before you read a figure as high or low, get those two details for every quote on your list.
If your face is lean or you've had filler or threads, say so at the start. Send that history on WhatsApp and ask whether it changes the number of shots you'd plan for.
Send a face photo and ask about your shot count on WhatsApp
How many days in Seoul does a Thermage trip need?
Fewer than most people budget for. We're closed on Wednesdays, Sundays and public holidays, so check the session falls on an open day, and leave a little room in case you want more than one conversation before deciding.
If you're adding an injectable or a laser, count that treatment's healing time instead, because it will set your flight.

Before you message us
Send two photos, front and side, plus the one quote detail you can't make sense of, and ask for a figure for your own face before you book anything.
When you come in, I'll examine your skin and recommend the device and shot count that fit it, which may or may not be 600. Results vary from person to person.
