Rejuran Recovery Time: How Many Days? Cost, Reviews, Methods
Rejuran recovery time is usually a few days of bumps and possible bruising. Dr. Kim at VOS Dermatology, Gangnam, on trip days. Send dates on WhatsApp.

Worried that Rejuran recovery time won't fit between your landing and your flight home?
Read this before you fix your treatment day.
You'll know what each day after the injections usually looks like, what decides the cost, what reviews get right and wrong, and how the methods differ, so you can choose a day and a plan that suit your trip and your budget.
Hello, I'm Dr. Hongseok Kim, a board-certified dermatologist with 21 years of experience and the medical director of VOS Dermatology Clinic in Gangnam. I handle the consultation and the procedure myself.
The clinic offers Rejuran Healer, HB and Eye. Our price list is the same for every nationality, and we're closed on Wednesdays, Sundays and public holidays, which matters more to a visitor than it sounds.
I'm writing this because people often plan around the injection bumps alone, when a bruise is what tends to outlast them.
Rejuran recovery time is usually short. The raised bumps generally flatten within one to three days, and a bruise, if you get one, can take about a week. For most trips, I'd leave two or three days before any event and at least one open clinic day before you fly.
If your dates are already fixed, send your arrival and departure days on WhatsApp and ask which treatment day leaves the most room before your event.

How long does each stage of recovery last?
The bumps and the bruises run on separate clocks. A bump is mostly the injected product sitting in the upper skin until it spreads and absorbs. A bruise happens when a needle nicks a tiny blood vessel, so it can appear after a careful injection and can't be predicted from the product alone.
A systematic review of polynucleotide studies in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology reported no severe adverse events in its included studies. The mild ones, including localized pain, swelling, bruising and redness, typically resolved within a week. The review doesn't give a day-by-day breakdown, so the table below is general clinical experience, and your own skin may run faster or slower.
| When | What's common | What it means for your plans |
|---|---|---|
| Treatment day | Rows of small bumps, redness, some tenderness | Keep the evening quiet and skip close-up photos |
| Day 1 | Bumps flattening, a bruise may start to show | Walking and sightseeing are usually fine |
| Days 2–3 | Bumps faint or gone for many people | Usually workable for meetings or dinners, with makeup if allowed |
| Days 4–7 | Any bruise turns yellow-green and fades | Matters mainly for close-up photos |
| After week 1 | Visible recovery is usually over | Skin changes keep developing for weeks |
That last row is where expectations often slip. Finishing recovery doesn't mean you've seen the result, and a week-by-week look at realistic Rejuran results covers that slower timeline. For the first day or so, doctors commonly advise skipping saunas, hard exercise and alcohol, since heat and increased blood flow can make swelling and bruising more noticeable. Ask about your own aftercare at the appointment.
How many days should you plan in Seoul?
Count backward from the thing you can't move. If it's only a flight, a short stay can work, and the limits of doing Rejuran on a short trip are worth reading first. If it's a wedding, a client meeting or a photo shoot, count seven days back when a bruise would bother you, and two or three when a little makeup is enough.
Say you land on a Thursday night and fly home the following Tuesday evening, with a dinner on Saturday. A Friday appointment is possible, since we're open until 20:00, but Saturday's dinner would fall on day 1, with bumps possibly still showing. In that case you'd want to ask about Monday instead, and accept that you'd fly the next day with some marks, or move the dinner.
Now change one detail: the dinner is on your last night. Friday becomes the obvious choice, because you'd have three days of settling and the clinic is open on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday if something worries you.
Worth knowing: Treat on a Saturday and the next open day is Monday. Treat on a Tuesday and it's Thursday. A public holiday can stretch that gap, so check the Korean calendar against your dates.
What about flying? The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention mentions delaying air travel for 10 to 14 days after major surgery. A superficial skin injection isn't in that category. I'd still avoid treating on departure day, for a plainer reason: if a reaction shows up on the way to the airport, you've lost easy access to the doctor who treated you.
One more calendar point. Most studies in the review I mentioned used two to four sessions spaced two to four weeks apart. Recovery from one session fits most trips, while a full course usually needs more than one visit.

How I approach Rejuran when you have a flight to catch
The first thing I'd want to know is what's on your calendar after the appointment, because a bump on the cheek means something different to someone with a wedding on Saturday than to someone going home to a quiet week.
Then comes the skin itself. Every plan at VOS starts with a skin analysis, and I choose for your face rather than from a package. I hold to exact dosing for every injectable, never more or less than your skin needs. A shorter recovery is a fair thing to want, but a smaller dose chosen only to reduce the marks can leave you with less treatment than you travelled for.
Doctor's note
If your schedule leaves no margin, I'd rather we talk about it openly than squeeze the treatment in. A trip with a tight event may be better served by treating the areas you can cover easily, or by choosing a later date. Every skin is different, and so is every itinerary.
Which methods change the recovery?
Three things tend to shift what you see afterward: the product, the area and the injection technique.
Rejuran Healer is a polynucleotide product we list for sensitive skin, redness and a compromised barrier. Rejuran HB combines polynucleotide with hyaluronic acid and lidocaine, which is aimed at comfort during treatment. I wouldn't count on the lidocaine to shorten recovery, since it addresses pain and not marks. Rejuran Eye is formulated for the under-eye area, where thin skin can make a bruise easier to see and harder to hide. If that describes your face in general, the notes on Rejuran for thin, sensitive skin go further.
Technique matters too. Small, shallow deposits generally leave the visible rows of bumps people recognize, while deeper placement tends to show fewer bumps. Some clinics deliver polynucleotides with microneedling, which usually trades bumps for more even redness across the area. More injection points and more treated areas generally mean more chances for marks, whichever approach is used.

What do Rejuran reviews get right about recovery?
Online reviews tend to repeat a few claims, and they hold up unevenly.
It stings more than other boosters. This is often reported and medically plausible, because the product is thicker than many hydrating injectables. Numbing cream or a lidocaine-containing product can help, and comfort varies widely between people.
There's no downtime. This is half true. You generally don't need wound care or time off from normal activity, but visible bumps on day 1 are a poor fit for a board meeting.
The bumps vanish by the next morning. Sometimes, especially with fewer injection points. Planning a trip around this claim is how people end up at dinner with a textured cheek.
Lumps stay for weeks. This is less common than the usual course. A firm lump that persists, or one that grows or becomes painful, deserves a medical check.
Risks and side effects to know
The common reactions are pain during injection, redness, swelling, bumps, itching and bruising. In the review I cited, they typically resolved within a week. Infection and allergic reactions are possible with any injection, though less common, so spreading redness, increasing pain, warmth, pus or fever isn't normal recovery.
In general, these situations call for a conversation with a doctor before treatment, and may mean postponing it:
- Infection or active inflammation at the treatment site
- A recent laser treatment or chemical peel in the same area
- Current or recent isotretinoin use
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- An allergy to fish or to any ingredient, since polynucleotides in Rejuran are salmon-derived
- Blood-thinning medication, which can make bruising more likely (don't stop a prescribed medication without asking the doctor who prescribed it)
If something changes after you fly home, photograph it and see a local doctor promptly, sooner if you have fever or rapidly worsening pain. The CDC advises making sure you can get follow-up care at home and getting copies of your medical records before you leave, so ask for the product name and treated areas in writing at the clinic. Recovery and results vary from person to person.
If you take a blood thinner, or had a laser or peel recently, send that list on WhatsApp with your planned treatment date and ask whether the timing should change.

What decides the cost of Rejuran for your trip?
Recovery and cost are linked more than people expect, because both follow how much is treated. These factors move the figure most:
- Product: Healer, HB and Eye are listed separately.
- Amount: the volume in mL that your skin and area call for.
- Areas: cheeks only, or also the under-eyes, lips or neck.
- Sessions: whether you're doing one visit or returning for a course.
- Add-ons: anything combined with the injections on the same trip.
A quote is easier to compare when it states the product and mL, and our listed prices are shown before VAT, so ask for the total. The breakdown of what counts in a Rejuran injection quote goes through this line by line. To get the figure for your case, ask on WhatsApp what it would cost for your areas, with a photo of them.
