VOS Dermatology Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul

Have you read the Korea Rejuran Healer procedure steps in order and still can't tell how many days to leave before your flight home?

Read this before you book the return leg.

You'll know the order of the appointment, what your skin usually does from day 0 to day 7, what decides the cost, and what reviews get right, so you can pick a trip length that fits your skin and your budget.

Hello, I'm Dr. Hongseok Kim, a board-certified dermatologist with 21 years of experience and Medical Director of VOS Dermatology in Gangnam. I perform every procedure here myself, and I'm writing this because the calendar is where visitors most often get Rejuran wrong.

Three facts about the clinic matter for this worry. Plans here start with a skin analysis, we use a 5μm ultra-fine filter syringe to block particles such as ampoule glass shards, and we're closed on Wednesdays, Sundays and public holidays, which shapes a short trip more than people expect.

People tend to plan around the appointment, when the marks it leaves are what should set the flight.

The usual order is skin check, cleansing, numbing, injections, soothing and aftercare advice. Raised bumps often settle within a day or two and a bruise can take about a week, so I'd leave at least two or three days between the session and your flight.

If your return flight is already fixed, send a daylight photo of your cheeks and your landing and departure dates on WhatsApp, and ask one thing: does this gap leave enough room?

What are the Rejuran Healer steps, in order?

Here are the Korea Rejuran Healer procedure steps in order, the way an injectable skin booster session generally runs. Details differ between clinics, so treat this as a map and ask about timings when you book.

  1. Skin check and plan. The doctor looks at your skin and the area, and asks what you've had done recently. At VOS that analysis is mine to do.
  2. Cleansing. Makeup comes off, and the skin is cleaned and disinfected.
  3. Numbing. A numbing cream is commonly applied and given time to work. Rejuran HB has lidocaine in the product itself, while Rejuran Healer is polynucleotide alone, so the cream matters more with Healer.
  4. Injections. A fine needle places small amounts of product in the upper skin at many points across the area. Each point can leave a small raised bump.
  5. Soothing. The skin is wiped clean and usually calmed with cooling or a mild moisturizer.
  6. Aftercare advice. You'll hear when you can wash, when makeup can go back on, and when to restart any strong actives.

Step 4 is the one that decides your calendar. Rejuran Healer is a polynucleotide, and molecules of that size can't get through intact skin from a bottle, which is why a Rejuran serum and the injection do different jobs. The injection places the product directly in the skin, and those bumps are the visible cost of doing so.

Reviews of polynucleotides in dermatology, including one published in Pharmaceutics, describe them as supporting tissue repair. That work happens slowly. You won't see the benefit on the flight home, and the skin you check in the airport mirror tells you about healing, nothing more.

What does Rejuran Healer recovery look like from day 0 to day 7?

In short, this is what many people see after an injected skin booster on the cheeks. Your own timeline can run faster or slower, and thin or reactive skin often runs slower.

WhenWhat skin commonly doesWhat it means for your trip
Day 0Raised bumps, redness, tendernessKeep the evening free and skip photos
Day 1Bumps flatten, redness fadesWalking around Seoul is usually fine with sun protection
Days 2–3Most bumps gone, small bruises may showThe earliest flight day I'd suggest for most people
Days 4–7Any bruise fades from purple to yellowMatters only if you have an event when you land
Week 2 onwardSkin looks ordinary, change builds slowlyNothing to judge before you leave Korea

Worth knowing: Bumps and bruises run on separate clocks. Bumps flatten fast, while a bruise can appear a day later and outlast them. Plan around the bruise if you have an event after landing, and around the bumps if you don't.

A few ordinary habits can make marks last longer. Alcohol, saunas, hard exercise and blood-thinning supplements such as fish oil are commonly advised against in the first days, because they can make swelling and bruising worse. Check any prescribed medicine with your own doctor before stopping it.

I don't know of a rule that forbids flying after a skin booster. The concern is practical: you'd rather not sit in dry cabin air, with bumps you can't touch, on the first night. A moisturizer in your hand luggage helps with the dryness, and the rest is a question of how you want to look when you land.

How many days should you stay in Seoul?

For one session, I'd plan two or three full days between the appointment and the flight. Stretch that to four or more if your skin bruises easily, and to a full week if someone is photographing you soon after you get home.

Say you land on Thursday night and leave on Monday evening. We're open until 20:00 on Friday and 16:00 on Saturday, closed on Sunday, and open until 19:00 on Monday. I'd put the visit on Friday. That leaves Saturday and Sunday for the bumps to settle, and Monday is still a clinic day if something worries you before the airport.

Change one detail and the plan changes. Land on Tuesday night and your first possible visit is Thursday, because Wednesday is closed. Arrive on a Saturday afternoon and you may be looking at Monday, which turns a long weekend into a very tight fit. Check public holidays too, since we close on those as well.

One trip generally holds one session, because skin boosters are commonly given as a course spaced weeks apart. A trip built around a single session is still possible, but ask what one session can do for your skin before you pay for the flight.

Before you settle on dates, list any blood thinners or supplements you take and the dates of any recent laser or peel. Send that on WhatsApp and ask which day you'd be wise to avoid.

How I approach a short Rejuran trip

Every skin is different, and the plan has to differ too. That's why I start with your skin analysis and leave the product and amount until after it. My rule for injectables is the exact dose your skin needs, never more and never less. More product across more points doesn't buy a better result on a short trip, and it can mean more marks to carry home.

If you were sitting across from me, the question I'd want answered first is what you have on the day after you land. A quiet week at home and a client presentation call for different schedules, even with identical skin.

There's also a point where I'd say not this trip. If you arrive with an active breakout, a sunburn or a flare in the area to be treated, injecting through it is a poor trade. Better to treat what's there, or to come back when the skin has settled, than to fit the session in because the flights are booked.

And if you tend to dread needles, tell me early. We have nitrous-oxide sedation, with over 5,700 cases here, and you can ask whether it makes sense for a treatment of this size.

VOS signature treatments: skin boosters (Juvelook, Juvelook Volume, Juveacell, Hilo Wave, Gouri), hand-injected by the doctor, and lifting with original devices (Ultherapy Prime, Thermage FLX, Sofwave, Onda and Opus)
The two things I focus on: skin boosters I inject by hand, and lifting with original devices.

What decides the cost of Rejuran Healer?

The figure for your case comes from a handful of things:

The product and amount come first. Healer, HB and Eye are separate products, and a full face takes a different amount from a small area. The number of sessions matters next, since a course costs more than a single visit. Adding the neck or another treatment changes it again, and sedation is worth asking about if you want it.

Days in Korea affect your own budget more than the clinic's figure, so a spare night or two belongs in your sums. We charge the same price for all nationalities, and it's reasonable to ask whether any quote includes VAT.

To get the figure for your case, send a photo of the area on WhatsApp and ask what it would cost for that area with the sessions you can realistically attend.

Can you add other treatments on the same trip?

Often yes, though each one brings its own clock, and the longest clock sets your flight. A session of filler for hollows or folds can add swelling in the same area, which makes it harder to read how either treatment has settled. A CO₂ laser for a mole leaves a small wound with its own care period.

If you're older, Rejuran may be only part of what you want, since it works on skin quality and doesn't restore lost support. This guide to facial procedures for people over 50 explains how those choices fit together. Whichever you add, count the days from the last treatment, not the first.

Risks and side effects to know

The common reactions are temporary: swelling, redness, raised bumps, tenderness and small bruises, usually fading over days to about a week. Less often, firm lumps can persist longer, or an infection or allergic reaction can develop. These are uncommon, but they're the reason any injection deserves a proper skin check first.

As general medical guidance, you should wait or skip the treatment if any of these apply:

  • You have an infection or inflammation at the site, or you've recently had a laser or peel there.
  • You're taking isotretinoin, or you're pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You're allergic to fish or salmon, because polynucleotide products are salmon-derived.

If you take blood thinners, expect more bruising and speak to the doctor who prescribes them.

Once you're home, spreading redness, heat, worsening pain, pus or fever need a local doctor promptly, and a bump that lasts for weeks deserves a dermatologist's look. Take the name of the product with you. The US CDC's guidance on medical tourism advises getting copies of your records before you travel back, and that's useful even for a small procedure like this.

FAQ

Questions readers ask about korea rejuran healer procedure steps in order

Does Rejuran Healer hurt more than other skin boosters?
It can feel sharper than some, because Rejuran Healer doesn't contain lidocaine, while Rejuran HB does. A numbing cream is commonly applied first, and most people describe a series of quick pricks with some stinging. Sensitivity differs from one area of the face to another. If needles worry you, ask whether nitrous-oxide sedation makes sense for your session.
Reviews say the bumps vanish by the next morning. Is that accurate?
It's true for some people and not for others. Bumps often flatten within a day or two, so the claim isn't far off for thicker skin and smaller amounts. What those reviews tend to leave out is bruising, which can appear a day later and take about a week to fade. Plan your trip with both in mind.
When can I wear makeup on the way home?
Many doctors suggest waiting until the day after injections, so the tiny needle points have had time to close. Use clean brushes and a product you already know, and leave anything new until later. Follow the timing you're given after your session. If the skin still looks open or irritated, give it another day before covering it.
Can I fly the day after Rejuran Healer?
I don't know of a rule against it, and the main issue is comfort and how you'll look. Cabin air is dry and bumps may still show on day one. I'd rather you left two or three full days, particularly on a long flight. If a next-day departure is your only option, mention it when you ask about your treatment plan.
Is one session enough if I only visit Seoul once?
Skin boosters are commonly given as a course spaced weeks apart, so a single session usually won't show what a full course can. It may still be useful for some skin, and it's a fair thing to ask about before you commit. If you visit Seoul regularly, you could also spread sessions across separate trips.

Results, timing and recovery vary from person to person. This article is general information from VOS Dermatology Clinic and does not replace an in-person consultation. Any prices mentioned are from the clinic’s official price list (KRW, before VAT) and may change.
