Worried that a Korea Rejuran Healer consultation booking fee will be charged before anyone has looked at your skin?

Read this before you send a deposit to anyone.

You'll know what that fee can mean, what reviews get right and wrong, how the methods differ, and what recovery and cost come down to, so you can weigh a plan against your skin and budget.

Hello, I'm Dr. Hongseok Kim, a board-certified dermatologist with 21 years of experience and Medical Director of VOS Dermatology Clinic in Gangnam. I perform the procedures myself, from consultation through treatment.

Three things matter for this question: the same pricing applies to all nationalities, I start from a skin analysis and not a fixed package, and the WhatsApp consult is in English.

I wrote this because people often take the booking fee for one fixed Korean custom, and then either pay without asking or give up on asking at all.

Any charge for holding a date or for the in-person visit is a separate question, and you should have that answer in the chat before you transfer money.

If the fee is what's holding you back, send one daylight photo of the area on WhatsApp and ask, "Is anything payable before my visit?"

What can a Korea Rejuran Healer consultation booking fee mean?

The belief I want to correct is that this fee is a single charge everyone pays up front. Those words get used for several different things, and each one needs its own question. Terms differ between clinics and change over time, so an old forum post tells you little about the place you're writing to today.

What you may seeWhat it can meanWhat to ask
Consultation feeA charge for the doctor's time at the visitIs it charged separately or added to treatment?
Booking depositMoney held against a reserved dateDoes it come off my final bill?
Cancellation feeA charge if plans changeWhen does it apply, and how much is returned?
Agent's feeA third party's charge for arranging the tripWho receives it, and what does it cover?

Before you transfer money anywhere, you want four things in writing: who receives it, what it covers, whether it comes off the treatment bill, and what happens if your flight changes. A clear answer to those four matters more than the label on the charge.

I've left deposit terms out of this post because prices and terms can change without notice, so ask for the current answer when you write. My own position is simple. You should get a straight answer about what's realistic, and a quote, on WhatsApp before you book.

What do reviews get right about fees and Rejuran?

Review threads and forums carry useful warnings along with some overstatement. These are the claims people read most often, and how they hold up medically and practically.

"Foreigners pay more." I can't speak for every clinic, so check rather than assume. At VOS the price notice says the same pricing applies to all nationalities.

"One session was enough." This one misleads people. Three sessions a month apart is the standard Rejuran protocol, because PN works by supporting the skin's own repair over time. One session is a start. It isn't the full course.

"It really hurts." Partly true. Rejuran Healer means many small injections into the dermis, and sensitivity varies a lot between people and between areas of the face. Rejuran HB+ contains lidocaine for comfort, and I also offer nitrous oxide sedation, with over 5,700 cases at VOS so far.

"The bumps are gone by morning." Sometimes, but don't plan a dinner around it. Small raised marks at the injection points are expected and often take longer than a night to flatten. For a timeline of what changes and when, see these realistic Rejuran results week by week.

"They'll push a package." Our own price notes say multiple-session packages may be recommended depending on your goals. A recommendation deserves a reason, so ask what each added session or area is for.

Which Rejuran method fits your skin?

All three products on my Rejuran treatment page are built on polynucleotide (PN), derived from purified salmon DNA. They differ in where they go and what comes with the PN.

Rejuran Healer is for the face and neck. It's the one I think of for sensitive skin, redness and a compromised barrier. Rejuran i is made for the eye area, where the concern is fine lines and thin skin. Rejuran HB+ adds hyaluronic acid and lidocaine, which suits someone who wants more hydration and less discomfort during the session.

The method matters as much as the product. Rejuran is micro-injected into the dermis, which is why a serum with the same name can't do the same job.

If you're reading papers, the dermatology literature treats PN and PDRN as separate preparations, so the two names shouldn't be swapped in a quote. That's a statement about a class of injectables, and it can't forecast how your own cheek will respond. Rejuran also sits among other options on my face-line treatments menu, and it may not be the one you need.

How I approach a first Rejuran Healer plan

Every skin is different, and the diagnosis and treatment have to differ too. So the first thing I want to know is whether your complaint is texture or sagging. Rejuran works on skin quality: fine lines, rough texture, thin or sensitive skin. If your concern is a heavy jawline, I wouldn't expect PN to lift it, and I'd tell you so.

The second thing I weigh is exact dosing. An injectable should be given in the amount your skin needs, never more and never less. I also use genuine products only, because a fee conversation is pointless if you can't trust what's in the syringe.

Doctor's note

If your skin is firm and you're mostly curious about Rejuran because of what you've read, I'd rather you hear that the visible gain may be small. A skin booster is easiest to justify when you can name what bothers you in the mirror. Bring that sentence to your consultation, and everything else about the plan gets easier to judge.

VOS signature treatments: skin boosters (Juvelook, Juvelook Volume, Juveacell, Hilo Wave, Gouri), hand-injected by the doctor, and lifting with original devices (Ultherapy Prime, Thermage FLX, Sofwave, Onda and Opus)
The two things I focus on: skin boosters I inject by hand, and lifting with original devices.

What decides the cost for your case?

The booking question is usually a stand-in for a bigger one: what will the whole thing cost me? Five things move that answer.

  • Product: Healer, Rejuran i and HB+ are priced separately.
  • Volume and area: face alone costs differently from face and neck. This guide to reading mL on a skin booster plan explains the amounts.
  • Sessions: the standard course is three, and you may not fit all three into one trip.
  • Additions: sedation or another treatment on the same day changes the total.
  • Tax and terms: VAT and any prepaid package conditions.

Worth knowing: Prices at VOS are listed in Korean won, and 10% VAT is added where applicable. If you prepay a package, use part of it and then ask for a refund, the treatments you've had are recalculated at the regular price and a 10% cancellation fee on the total package price applies.

For the line items in more detail, read what counts toward Rejuran injection cost in Korea. To get the figure for your own case, ask on WhatsApp what your areas and number of sessions would cost, and whether that figure includes VAT.

How long is recovery, and who should wait?

There's usually little true downtime, and most people go about their day. What you'll have is visible marks at the injection points for a while, which is why the timing of a photo shoot or a meeting matters more than the timing of your work.

Risks and side effects to know

Common temporary reactions are redness, swelling, small raised bumps at the injection points and occasional bruising. These usually settle within a few days, and a bruise can take a week or more.

As general medicine, you should wait or skip treatment if any of these apply:

  • an infection or active inflammation in the area
  • a recent laser or peel on the same skin
  • current or recent isotretinoin
  • pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • an allergy to salmon-derived ingredients or to any component, including lidocaine for HB+

Blood thinners can make bruising more likely, so mention them too.

If a reaction appears after you fly home, photograph it and see a local doctor promptly when you have spreading redness, growing pain, warmth, pus or fever. The US CDC's medical tourism guidance advises planning follow-up care and carrying your records, so keep the product name, volume and date of your session on your phone.

Before you settle on dates, send your current medications and any laser, peel or injection from the past few months on WhatsApp, and ask how long a gap you should leave.

Fitting a session into your days in Seoul

Say you have thin, easily reddened cheeks, you land on a Thursday, you fly home the following Tuesday, and you can't come back every month. I would reason this way. One trip holds one session, while the standard course is three sessions a month apart. So you'd be choosing between a first session with no promise of the full effect, or planning return visits before you start.

The calendar matters here. VOS is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 to 19:00, Friday from 10:00 to 20:00 and Saturday from 10:00 to 16:00, and closed on Wednesdays, Sundays and public holidays. In that example, a Friday or Saturday appointment would leave you a few days for marks to settle before your flight.

FAQ

Questions readers ask about korea rejuran healer consultation booking fee

Do I have to pay to ask about Rejuran Healer at VOS?
Send a photo of the area with your question. Ask separately about anything payable for holding a date or for the in-person visit, because terms can change over time.
Is a booking deposit the same as a consultation fee?
No. A consultation fee pays for the doctor's time at a visit, while a deposit holds a reserved date and may or may not come off your bill. Before paying either, check who receives the money, what it covers, whether it is credited to treatment, and what happens if your flight changes.
How many Rejuran Healer sessions will I need?
Three sessions a month apart is the standard protocol, and results typically last over six months, though outcomes differ between people. A single session on one trip is possible, but it is a first step and not the full course. If you can't return monthly, raise that before you book so the plan reflects it.
How soon can I fly after Rejuran Healer?
Rejuran involves small injections and no incisions, so flying is usually a question of comfort and appearance, since marks and swelling can still be visible. Many people prefer to leave a few days between the session and the flight, which also gives time to get any concern checked while still in Seoul.
Can I bring my own photos and previous treatment records?
Yes, and they are worth having ready. Daylight photos from the front and side show your skin clearly, and a list of recent lasers, peels, injections and medications helps with timing and safety questions. Keep those details on your phone, along with the product name and volume from any session in Seoul, for your doctor at home.

Results, timing and recovery vary from person to person. This article is general information from VOS Dermatology Clinic and does not replace an in-person consultation. Any prices mentioned are from the clinic’s official price list (KRW, before VAT) and may change.
