Rejuran i for the Eye Area: Fine Lines, Sessions, Prices

I'm Dr. Hongseok Kim, a board-certified dermatologist with 21 years in practice, and at VOS Dermatology in Gangnam I see each patient myself, from the first conversation to the last injection. The eye area is where I slow down the most. When visitors ask me about Rejuran i, they usually mean the fine lines and tired look under the eyes, so this article is only about that small, delicate zone.

Rejuran i is the eye-area version of Rejuran: a polynucleotide booster formulated for the thin skin under and around the eyes. It is used to improve fine lines, elasticity and overall skin quality there, and it can soften some types of dark circles. It does not fill a hollow or remove eye bags. This guide is for adults who want to know whether an under-eye booster is the right tool before they plan a trip to Seoul.

Why the eye area needs its own product

Under-eye skin is among the thinnest skin on the body. It moves thousands of times a day as you blink, squint and smile, and it has little oil to protect it. That is why fine lines, crepey texture and a tired look often show here before anywhere else.

A standard face booster placed the same way here would not suit that skin. Rejuran i uses polynucleotide, the salmon-derived material in all Rejuran lines, in a formula made for this area. The aim is the same as elsewhere — supporting the skin's own repair, elasticity and hydration — but the product and the technique are adjusted to thin tissue.

What Rejuran i can improve — and what it cannot

Rejuran i works on skin quality. Based on what the eye line is designed for, these are reasonable goals:

• Fine lines and crepey texture under the eyes
• Loss of elasticity, where skin wrinkles like tissue paper when you smile
• Dryness and a dull, tired surface
• Dark circles caused mainly by thin skin letting colour show through

These concerns belong to a different category, and a booster alone is unlikely to satisfy you:

• A deep tear-trough hollow, which is lost volume
• Puffy under-eye bags, which are usually fat pads that have moved forward
• Brown pigmentation around the eyes
• Hooded upper lids or a lowered brow, which are laxity problems

Worth knowing: Most "dark circles" are a mix of causes. If yours are mainly shadow from a hollow or pigment in the skin, improving skin quality will only soften them a little. I would rather tell you that before the needle than after three sessions.

Which eye-area option fits which concern

Because the eye area has several different problems, our price list has several different eye-area items. The table below shows the documented options and what each is listed for. The total for Rejuran i depends mostly on how many mL your eye area needs and how many sessions you have. For a small area, 1 mL may be enough; when both eyes and the crow's-feet area are treated, more is usually needed. I tell you the amount before we start, and the prices are before 10% VAT.

What a Rejuran i session is like

The visit starts with a consultation and a close look at the skin, including our 3D skin analysis. Then numbing cream goes on and needs time to work. The injections themselves are quick; the whole session takes about 30 minutes.

I place very small amounts with fine needles, close to the surface, point by point. You will feel light stings and pressure. The area just under the lash line is often more sensitive than the cheek, so tell me if you want a pause.

Afterwards, small bumps along the injection points are normal and usually flatten within hours to a day. We use a cool pad for a few minutes before you leave. You can generally return to your plans the same day.

Bruising, swelling and aftercare around the eyes

The documented recovery after Rejuran is minor swelling, bruising or redness for 2–3 days. Around the eyes, bruising tends to show more easily, simply because the skin is thin and the small vessels sit close to the surface. Some people have none; others have a small mark that concealer covers after the first day. Individual reactions vary.

The aftercare is the same as for other Rejuran lines, with extra care not to rub:

• Do not wash the area or apply make-up for 24 hours.
• For about a week, skip saunas, intense exercise and alcohol.
• Wear sunscreen diligently, including around the eyes.
• Do not rub, press or massage the treated skin, and take out contact lenses gently.

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have an active eye or skin condition, we need to talk before anything is booked. If swelling increases after the second day or you notice anything that worries you, send us a message and a photo.

Sessions, timing and a trip to Seoul

The standard Rejuran protocol is three sessions at one-month intervals. Improvement usually appears within 12 weeks, and results last about six months, with maintenance afterwards. Those figures vary from person to person.

For visitors, this means making a choice. You can stay in Seoul for about two months, return for the later sessions, or have one session here and accept it as a partial result. Book the eye session early in your stay. A small bruise under the eye is harmless, but nobody wants it in the photos on the last day of a trip.

How I approach under-eye treatment at VOS

My first job is diagnosis. I look at the under-eye area in different light, with you looking up and down, and ask how the area changes through the day. That tells me whether the problem is skin quality, volume, pigment, laxity or a mix.
