Oligio Korea Price: What Moves It? Reviews, Methods & Recovery

The Oligio Korea price is set by shot count, areas and add-ons. Dr. Hongseok Kim at VOS Dermatology, Gangnam explains what moves it; send a photo on…

VOS Dermatology Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul

Is the Oligio Korea price you found online what you'll actually pay for your face, or only the first line of a longer quote?

Read this before you compare quotes or book a flight to Seoul.

You'll know what decides the cost of Oligio XM for your skin, which review claims hold up, how the method works and what recovery looks like. That's enough to judge whether it fits your face and your budget.

Hello, I'm Dr. Hongseok Kim, a board-certified dermatologist with 21 years of experience and Medical Director of VOS Dermatology Clinic in Gangnam. I do the consultation and the treatment myself.

We have Oligio XM in the same building as Thermage FLX, Ultherapy PRIME and Sofwave, so the device can be matched to your face instead of the other way round.

I wrote this because most people price Oligio by shot count first, when the amount and location of loose skin should set the plan.

The Oligio Korea price at our clinic comes down to how many shots your face needs (we list 300-shot and 600-shot options), which areas are treated, and whether anything else is added to the plan.

If you're weighing it, send a front and a side photo on WhatsApp and ask the one question on your mind, such as whether your jawline needs more than RF. It takes a minute, and you can ask before booking anything.

What is Oligio XM, and how does the RF work?

Oligio XM is a radiofrequency device. It sends RF energy into the deep dermis, the layer under the surface that holds collagen and elastic fibers, to improve elasticity, density and texture. Treatment depth and cooling are adjusted to keep heat and irritation down.

Heat does two things in that layer. In the short term, warmed collagen fibers contract, which is why some people see slight firming the same evening. Over the following weeks and months, the skin treats the heat as a controlled injury and lays down new collagen. That slower change is the one you're paying for.

People search for an “Oligio laser”, but the device uses radiofrequency energy, not laser light. A 510(k) clearance means the FDA judged a device substantially equivalent to one already on the market. It doesn't predict how your skin will respond.

Depth also explains a lot about the final quote. Ultherapy PRIME uses micro-focused ultrasound aimed at the SMAS, the deeper support layer that slides down with age. Oligio works higher up, in the skin itself. If your main problem is a heavy lower face pulling down from underneath, Oligio alone will firm the skin over it without lifting much. That is a frequent reason a quote grows: the plan needs a second device.

What decides the Oligio price in Korea for your face?

Five things move the figure, and only the first one tends to show up in online searches.

FactorWhy it moves the costWhat to tell us
Shot countMore skin area, or extra passes over loose spots, means more shots. We list 300-shot and 600-shot options.Which areas bother you most
Areas treatedCheeks only, or cheeks plus jawline and under the chin, changes how many shots are needed.Whether the neck is part of your concern
Add-onsPairing RF with Ultherapy PRIME for deeper lift, or with an injectable for lost volume, changes the plan.Anything you already had in mind
ComfortNumbing cream alone, or nitrous-oxide sedation. Ask whether your choice changes the quote.Whether heat has bothered you before
Repeat visitsWhether a second session months later makes sense for your skin. How often you come to Seoul

Two things stay fixed. The price list is the same for every nationality, and listed prices are before VAT. The current shot options are on our price list, and prices can change, so check the figure when you book.

Your days in Seoul matter less here than with surgery. An RF tightening session is usually a single visit. We're open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 to 19:00, Friday until 20:00 and Saturday 10:00 to 16:00, and closed on Wednesdays, Sundays and public holidays. If you land on a Tuesday night, Thursday is your first possible day with us.

To get the figure for your own face, ask on WhatsApp what Oligio would cost for the areas you care about.

What the shot count on a quote means

A shot is one pulse of energy from the handpiece tip. The number on a quote tells you how much energy delivery is planned in total. On its own, it says little about how much firmer you'll look.

Where those shots land matters more than the total. A 600-shot plan on a small face may mean extra passes along the jawline and under the chin. The same 600 shots spread evenly over a larger face is a lighter treatment everywhere. What I want to see in any plan is where the passes are concentrated, and why there.

Shot counts also don't carry over between devices. A Thermage FLX shot, an Ultherapy PRIME shot and an Oligio XM shot come from different tips delivering different energy at different depths. Setting “600 shots” on one machine against “600 shots” on another compares nothing useful.

And shots don't treat fat. If what you see at the jaw is a pad of fat more than loose skin, more RF won't remove it. That's a separate conversation, which I cover in my post on fat dissolving injections in Korea. Body treatments follow a similar logic, where the applicator sets the line on the quote, as I explain in how CoolSculpting quotes are built.

How I approach an Oligio plan

Every plan here starts with a skin analysis, and I choose the device or combination for your face rather than a package. The question I'm sorting is threefold. Is the skin itself thin and loose? Is the support underneath dropping? Or has volume gone from the cheeks and temples? Oligio answers the first.

Say you're 52 and flying in from Hong Kong for four days. Your cheeks look crepey under office lights, your jawline has softened, and your temples have hollowed a little. I'd look at Oligio XM for the cheek skin, then ask whether the jawline sag is skin or deeper support. If it's deeper, Ultherapy PRIME comes into the conversation. The temples are a volume issue that no RF device fixes, which is where an injectable such as Juvelook Volume comes up. On a four-day trip, I'd rather do two things that answer your face than stack five into one afternoon.

If your skin is thin and dull more than loose, a skin booster may make more difference than heat. Rejuran is one I'd discuss. Tightening devices in general show least on skin that hasn't loosened yet, so for someone in their twenties with firm skin, I'd usually suggest waiting.

Worth knowing: A bigger shot count doesn't make up for the wrong device. If the plan doesn't match where your skin is loose, extra shots spend more of your budget against the same limit.

Send a front and side photo on WhatsApp

If this sounds like your face, take one photo in daylight with your chin slightly down. It shows jawline laxity better than a straight-on selfie. Send it on WhatsApp and you'll get a straight answer about what Oligio can and can't do for you, and a quote, before you book.

VOS signature treatments: skin boosters (Juvelook, Juvelook Volume, Juveacell, Hilo Wave, Gouri), hand-injected by the doctor, and lifting with original devices (Ultherapy Prime, Thermage FLX, Sofwave, Onda and Opus)
The two things I focus on: skin boosters I inject by hand, and lifting with original devices.

What do Oligio reviews get right, and what do they miss?

Review threads about Oligio repeat a handful of claims. Some hold up better than others.

“No downtime.” Mostly true. Redness and warmth usually settle within hours, and most people go back to their plans the next day. Some get mild swelling or tenderness along the jaw for a day or two.

“It hurts less than older RF.” Heat tolerance differs a lot between people, and the energy setting changes the feeling more than the brand does. Plan for warmth that peaks briefly with each shot.

“Instant lift.” Partly. The firmness you notice that evening is collagen contraction plus slight swelling. The change most people are after comes from new collagen, which builds over the following weeks and months. A review written the next morning is describing the first effect.

“One session and you're set for years.” I wouldn't promise that to anyone. No session stops collagen from aging, and many people repeat RF tightening at intervals.

How long is recovery after Oligio?

For most people, recovery is measured in hours. Expect pink, warm skin straight after, which typically fades the same day. Mild swelling, a puffy feeling along the jaw or small raised spots can last a day or two. Makeup is usually fine the next day once the skin feels normal.

For your trip, that means Oligio can sit early in your stay without spoiling it. Flying the next day is generally fine after RF tightening, since there's no open wound. Use sunscreen, skip saunas and very hot baths for a few days, and pause strong acids or retinoids for a short while; ask me how long for your skin.

The visible change builds slowly. Many people notice firmer skin from about a month on, with more over the next couple of months.

Risks and who should wait

Risks and side effects to know

Common and temporary: redness, warmth, mild swelling and tenderness, usually gone within a day or two. Less common: small blisters or surface burns where energy concentrates, and temporary bumps. Rare but reported with RF tightening in general: a small dip in the skin from fat loss underneath.

I'd ask you to wait, or skip it, if any of these apply:

  • a pacemaker or another implanted electronic device
  • pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • an active infection, cold sore or inflamed acne in the area
  • a laser, peel or other energy treatment on the face in recent weeks
  • isotretinoin in the past several months
  • a tendency to scar badly or form keloids

Whether Oligio suits you is settled when I examine your skin in person.

If something feels wrong after you fly home, such as a blister, redness that keeps getting worse after three days, or a firm, painful spot, see a doctor locally and message us on WhatsApp with what you're noticing. The US CDC's medical tourism guidance suggests arranging follow-up care at home before you travel and keeping copies of your treatment records, which is worth doing for any procedure abroad.

FAQ

Questions readers ask about oligio korea price

Is Oligio XM the same as Thermage FLX?
Both are radiofrequency tightening devices that heat the dermis to firm the skin, and we have both. They differ in handpiece, cooling and how the energy is delivered, so their shot counts can't be compared directly. Which one fits your face comes down to skin thickness, where the laxity sits and how much heat you tolerate, and I weigh those at the exam.
How many Oligio sessions will I need?
Many people have one session and judge the change over the following months before deciding on another. Thinner, looser skin may benefit from a repeat after some months. If you only come to Seoul once a year, tell me, because that changes whether one session now or spaced visits makes more sense for your skin.
Can I combine Oligio with injectables on the same trip?
Often, yes. RF tightening and injectables such as skin boosters or collagen stimulators address different problems, and pairing them on one trip is common. The order and spacing matter, since you don't want heat over freshly injected skin. Tell me what else you're considering so the plan covers the order and the days you need.
Does Oligio hurt?
Most people describe a deep warmth that peaks briefly with each shot, and the cooling built into the treatment takes the edge off. Numbing cream is the usual start. If heat or pain has made you stop a treatment before, nitrous-oxide sedation is available at the clinic, and you can ask whether choosing it changes your quote.
Can I fly home the day after Oligio?
Generally, yes. RF tightening leaves no open wound, and redness and swelling usually settle within a day or two. Keep the skin out of strong sun on the way home, drink water on the flight, and avoid saunas for a few days. If you also have injectables planned on the same trip, flight timing needs more thought, so mention it.
